My candle game since quarantine has been ridiculously strong. Now that it’s fall, my candle game is just out of control & I have no regrets. Every time Bath & Body has some sort of candle special I head to the mall to pick up at least two more. Teaching from home means a lit candle at all times – my home smells like the epitome of autumn and I couldn’t be happier. Of course, Sweater Weather and Leaves are two of my faves, but Fresh Fall Morning has been my most recent and I loveeeeeee it! It’s woody with a hint of apple, and I love lighting it at 7am while sipping my decaf Nespresso while watching GMA. If you aren’t signed up for Bath & Body Works emails, sign up now, so you can stay updated on any and all candle sales. DO NOT BUY any candles from Bath & Body Works without a special going on- just wait a week and I can guarantee they’ll either be half price or BOGO.
I hope the first 16 days of 2020 have treated y’all well! So far I’ve been super impressed with 2020! I’m excited to share five items I’ve recently incorporated into my daily routine, in today’s Thursday’s Fab Five.
Okay, first of all, this price…$3 for two lip balms? Yes, please! I discovered SoftLips at Target, shoutout to the Target app and all those dang coupons- this was a great discovery! I love that this lip balm has SPF 20, and the price is so perfect I bought a few packs and just have them literally everywhere. My lips feel soft and hydrated when I use it- not sticky, and I don’t need to reapply every 10 minutes to keep that soft feeling, thank gawwwd.
Happy Thursday’s Fab Five! Are you ready for fall? I’m so ready for fall. I think I’m too ready for fall. It’s still hot here in D.C. but we’ve seen some glimmer of a cooler season ahead, and I cannot wait. While I patiently wait, here are some of my current end of summer fab faves.
It’s pool & beach season, which means we all need to apply, and reapply, the SPF! This is my favorite sunscreen because it’s spray, so it is easy to apply, and 30 is just enough SPF for me to get a decent tan and not burn. I reapply often especially if I’m in the water a lot, but I love that it doesn’t smell weird or give me any sticky feeling. It’s on sale at Ulta right now, so stock up for the summer! They also have Beach Defense in 70 and 100 SPF if you want to block out all signs of the sun!
Happy Thursday, y’all! I don’t know about you, but 2019 is flying by for me, and it’s a little overwhelming to be honest!! I’ve been super neglectful over here on LLB, but my content calendar is ready to go for May, and I have a ton of new posts coming your way. I figured what better way to get back into the swing of things then with a little Fab Five to brighten up your Friday Eve. The first thing I’ve been loving recently is…
Everything you read about a jade roller is…absolutely F’ing true. I’m obsessed with my jade roller and it wasn’t until recently that I really started to use it consistently for results. First of all, you can’t beat the relaxing massage feeling you get after a long day at work. It’s amazing. I’ve been using it pretty routinely after applying all of my night serums/ moisturizers, so it’s helping those products sink into my skin. The bonus small roller for under and over eyes is the bestttttttttt to use in the morning to drain excess fluid from underneath your eyes. Quality jade rollers aren’t that expensive- but if you buy a super inexpensive one, don’t be surprised if the roller ball comes loose and breaks, I’ve had this happen to a few friends before. I think this one is at the perfect price point- the one I have is out of stock on Amazon, but this one is comparable to price and reviews.
This has been the longest week, ever. Teaching first grade has been the best move of my life, but oh my goshhhhh the days are tiring. I’m really looking forward to doing absolutely nothing this weekend! Until then, here are some of my current favorites from the last couple of weeks.
You can find these luxurious bath salts in Anthropologie, and let me tell you, they’re amazing! You have three different choices of soaks, Bergamot Fleur, Coconut Sugar, & Vanilla Milk. Your bathroom will smell so amazing after using this salt soak, and you don’t need to over do it, I use just about a handful each bath. I highly suggest trying all of them! I also love the packaging, it’s a great addition to any bathroom shelf!
Happy 2019 everyone! I’m so happy to be starting a new year and can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store. I’m here today to share my current Fab Five, featuring some gifts from the holidays! I would love to know what has been on your favorites list recently, so feel free to share below, or Tweet me @elizabethmayce.
It’s really important to me to remember friend birthdays, and other special dates- but, sometimes I slack. I love this celebration calendar because I can reuse it every year, all you do is write down the birthdays / special events for each month next to the date. I try to put special dates in my iCal, but I always like a written reminder as well. & seriously, anything from Rifle Paper & Co. is gorgeous, so it’s a nice addition to my office.
Happy Thursday! I hope you all had a relaxing & enjoyable Thanksgiving. I loved being up in Jersey with my family and friends, Thanksgiving is always a special time. I’m now in the Christmas spirit, ready to take on this holiday season!
With all the business of life, I have a few new products and things in my favorites lineup. Check out what I’ve been loving this month, and leave a comment, or Tweet me, some of your recent favorites. I’m always looking for new and exciting products!
I bought this super cute Pineapple palette when Sephora first released their holiday gifts. I think this is the perfect Christmas gift for the makeup lover in your life. The eye shadows in the palette are amazing, although you want to make sure to use a shadow primer since there is some fallout. I love the mascara and lip tint that comes with it too, it’s totally worth $60, and makes for an awesome holiday gift.
The totally quintessential fall candle, it smells like a pumpkin, and will fill your whole room with the scent of fall. It’s not a sweet smell which I really appreciate too. Bonus, it’s currently on sale through Macy’s, so make sure to click the link above to save some $$$. Continue reading “Thursday’s Fab Five”
I spoke about this mask on my Insta-stories last week because Target was & still is, having a 25% off sale on all Yes To products! I love a good charcoal mask, but the application & clean up process can sometimes be a bit too much, if ya know what I mean. Having a charcoal mask in sheet mask form, especially with a ton of product on it, is perfect for a Wednesday night. The fit could be a tiny bit better but given how budget friendly this mask is, it’s really no big deal.
