Christian Dior Spring 2012 Couture

These are my favorites from the show this week! I really loved everything, considering everyone was nervous about the collection since John Galliano is no more.  The collection was designed by Bill Gaytten.  While some of the designs aren’t as “extreme” and avant-garde as what haute couture may be perceived as, I really love the cohesiveness and structure of the entire collection.

Alexander McQueen S/S 2012

The highly anticipated Alexander McQueen S/S 2012 Collection, presented by Sarah Burton, did not disappoint Paris.  The collection was very feminine, but still had that classic, as I like to say…frightening…McQueen feeling to it.  I was lucky enough to be able to walk through the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibit during its run at the MET.  I was completely awed by his work, being so close to it, and reading about each piece was amazing.  I really love Sarah Burton and I think she’s doing an excellent job with the fashion house and in keeping it the way Alexander McQueen always envisioned it.  I loved the entire collection, but here are some of my favorites!!
