NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

This summer my skincare game has been on point, which has allowed me to seriously cut back on my makeup usage- it’s been great to say the least.  However, one product I have been consistently using this summer is NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, and it’s now a favorite.  I just ordered two from Sephora so I can have it whenever I might need it…I’m keeping one in my makeup drawer and one in my bag.

Since I’m tan right now I’ve been using Honey, which is a warm peach tone for light/ medium complexions.  This concealer blends so well into my skin, the formula in my opinion is lightweight and the level of hydration it delivers is excellent.  I’m able to use this concealer everywhere, around my nose, on any blemish, & over my rosacea.  It handles it all and I find I don’t even need to use too much product to get the job done.
I know the price may deter some buyers, but this truly is one of the top concealers out there, and if you have dry skin the creaminess of this NARS Concealer will save your life.  I tend to have more oily skin, but to be honest that hasn’t affected anything for me when using this product.  I use a setting powder to lock everything in place, which I think helps a lot.  Lastly, I think NARS delivers a great color range for this product, 16 different colors to be exact, so you’re hopefully guaranteed to match up with one of them!
Next time you’re in Sephora try out the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, the texture is different than other concealers I typically use, but I think that is what puts this products ahead of others!

NARS Steven Klein Holiday Collection

I may be a little late in writing about this collection, but it’s fabulousness is still in full force.  I had my eye on the NARS Steven Klein Holiday Collection for a while, and I bought the One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette during the Sephora VIB sale.  The blush colors are awesome and the palette itself, packaging and all, is just gorgeous.  I took a look at some of the other Steven Klein items, and I have a nice little Christmas list going of more products I want to add to my collection!

NARS Steven Klein Collaboration Favorites

These colors just scream fall and winter to me, the Dead of Summer Eye Palette is out of control gorgeous, and paired with the Provoke Killer Shine Lip Gloss…incredible.  I’m a nail polish collector, so I know I’ll without a doubt be purchasing the Black Fire Nail Polish to add to my collection!!

NARS Spring 2013

NARS is one of my favorite brands, and today the powerhouse released their Spring 2013 collection on their website!  Yay!
[Department stores/ Sephora won’t be releasing the collection until February]

My favorite product, by far, is the nail polish!  I can’t wait to buy it online later today!

Overall, the collection is very NARS-y [a good thing]], I’m just not sure I could pull off the blue, green, or paprika eyeshadows [even though I wish I could]!  The pigments are awesome, the colors are bright, and feminine– so basically it has all the perfect elements.

What do you think??

Corcovado Soft Touch Shadow Pencil [$24]
Limited Edition
Cythere Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil [$24]
Seduction Blush [$28]
I really want to try this, but I’m scared I’ll look crazy since it’s rather dark!  I might have to go to Sephora to try it out first before buying it online!

Bouthan Duo Shadow [$34]
Def getting this, no question.
Mad Mad World Duo Shadow [$34]
Dressed to Kill Lipstick [$24]
I really love this color, I’m still debating if it’s gonna make my purchase cutoff though.

Limited Edition
Um, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Mani Monday: NARS Storm Bird

I mentioned NARS Storm Bird a little while ago in my postings, and I’ve used it once before, but I decided to use it again when I got my manicure this weekend!
This color is so amazing I can’t deal.  I had multiple people including the employees at the nail salon asking me where I got it etc, and I even had women ask if they could use it.
The color is so interesting…it’s grey, but it’s not, there’s a hint of blue, but there’s not, it looks a little brown when wet, but it isn’t.  Is it charcoal?  I’m not sure.

SO CONFUSING, AND SO AMAZING.
Sephora describes it as “Shark Grey”…okay I’ll go with that!
It was sold out everywhere when it was first released, but now you can find it in almost any department store and Sephora.

NARS Fall ’12

I’m loving the fall NARS collection, it’s warm but fresh looking. I can’t live without the NARS multiple, I have a few colors…and I also love NARS blush.  They’re easy to apply, and the pigment is always more than enough, so you really don’t need too much product to create that blush look.  AND, I will DEFINITELY be purchasing the fall polish Storm Bird.
Here are the three products I know for sure I’ll be picking up!

Thakoon for Nars Summer ’12

It’s been exactly one month since I last blogged, SORRY. I’ve been so busy with my college career wrapping up, I got slightlyyyyy sidetracked.  BUT, I’m back for now, happily finishing up my finals and getting ready for SUMMER ’12.

Speaking of summer rolling around designer Thakoon has brillantly teamed up with NARS for a beautiful and bright limited-edition polish collection.  If you have a nice little collection of nail polish like I do, you’re def going to want to add some of these to it!  This collection has been highly anticipated for months now, and it’s finally available! WHOO.

Each color compliments one of the designer’s spring ’12 runway looks — main inspriation: an Indian spice market. I love NARS everything, I have a few of their polishes and they’re a good quality — long wearing, chip resistent.  Check them out below, and purchase them here!  I can personally say I’ll be ordering Koliary, Kutki, and Ratin Jot to my polish collection!

NARS Laguna Bronzer

NARS Laguna Bronzer has def become a staple product in my makeup bag.  I’m already on my third one, and I only started using it this summer (well, in Jersey we’re known to OD on our bronzer…but whatever).  Seriously though, I’m obsessed with this bronzer, it’s without a doubt the best one I’ve ever used.  I used to use Lorac, but it was too shimmery for me, I prefer matte or just a littleeee tinyyyy bit of shimmer.
I also find this really easy to use as a blush too without looking to dark, streaky, or just plain weird.  It goes on so smoothly and doesn’t leave any dark marks or make ya look orange.  Perfect!  Also, added bonus, it seriously complements all skin tones, tan and fair.  I haven’t been getting my routine spray tan, no time =[, but I can still use it and it looks great!  On the other hand, if you’re tan, just keep building it up…it goes on thin so just add a couple of layers and you’ll be bronzed and ready to go.
NARS is sold in all department stores, and of course…here on Sephora!

NARS Favorites

Recently, NARS overhauled their website into a newer, easier to use, and overall fancier setup.  One of my idols is Francois Nars, I read his book Makeup Your Mind back in high school, his work is amazing and I loved how the book showcased his amazing artistry and photography skills.

Anyway, back to the website!  There is a new section, WORLD of NARS, that is composed of 5 different parts that basically give you all the information you need about Mr. Nars himself, the history of the company, and his other makeup stylists. Oh, and there’s a photo shoot of Marcel Nars….his dog…which was my favorite!

I had a 20% off coupon from mintbox, so I used it to buy what’s pictured above!  If you’re unfamiliar with the NARS brand, the ultimate cult classic is anything from the Orgasm collection.  The multiple, pressed blush powder, or nail polish– they’re all super popular and should be staples in any beauty gurus makeup case.  I’ve never tried the nail polish, but I’m super excited to wear it because it can be worn during all seasons…which is why this color is so popular across the board.  I wanted to get my mom the multiple, which is pictured first, it can be used on lips, eyes, and cheeks as a blush or highlighter.  Lastly, I needed a new smudge brush so I figured I’d just get one here.
