Happy Friday, it’s snow day #2 for me here in D.C.! Here’s my last posting for Milan Fashion Week Favorites! XO.
Dolce & Gabbana
It’s that beautiful, glorious, fabulous time of the year again…FASHION WEEK [MONTH]. I’ll be chronicling my favorite looks from each designer presenting in New York, London, Milan, and Paris throughout the course of September.
Let’s get started…
BCBG Max Azria
Yesterday I wrote about the Missoni for Target line but today I wanna focus in on the brand’s most known family member. Missoni was started by Margherita’s grandparents in Italy in 1953. The brand has always been known for it’s patterns and bright colors, something it’s certainly kept true to for well over 50 years.
The whole family has been a part of the Missoni business, and the most notable member right now is Margherita. She’s currently in all the ad campaigns and is now designing for the classic Italian label. I love her because she’s educated (she went to Columbia), natural, has never had a fashion f-up, family oriented, and she’s basically normal. Vogue did an excellent article on her awhile back, which is where I really began to take an interest in her.
I seriously admire Margherita Missoni, she is an incredibly smart woman who has been an excellent ambassador and face to her family’s brand. She’s gorg, knows how to work a photo shoot and runway, and, as an heiress, is always in the spotlight for the right reasons.
Here are some interviews with Margherita and her family!
Missoni + Target = bank account death.
Just kidding, nobody’s bank account will be dying because everything is reasonably priced! YAY. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then listen up because this is super important.
|If you can’t afford this thousands of dollars blazer on Kate Moss…DON’T WORRY!
Missoni, famous for its colorful zig-zag pattern on almost every celebrity and model imaginable has teamed up with Target for a mega diffusion line. This has been talked about for forever, highly anticipated, and all budgets aside…every person in the world is excited for the line’s release on September 13th.
I’ve read countless articles about the line, and New York Magazine’s fashion blog, The Cut put up a slide show
yesterday of some of the pieces. This is by far Target’s smartest
diffusion line so far, I plan on being at the store right when it opens (since I don’t have to be at work that day until 9:30am!!). I’ll be grabbing everything
and anything….kinda like a crazy person but I really don’t care…maybe I’ll turn into Supergirl and be able to grab all 400 items
by the end of the day from both in-store and online. But then again, maybe not.
Prices range from $2.99 to $599 — most under $40. The line includes clothing, accessories, homeware (plates, sheets, etc.), luggage, and even an amazing bicycle.
