Travel Tryouts: Boscia’s Tsubaki Beauty Oil

Facial oils are all the rage right now, but I haven’t jumped on the bandwagon and bought one yet just because I have so many other products I need to go through first.  However, I did have a Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil sample so I figured I’d only use that AM and PM for the whole week and a half I was in Europe to really get a good feel of how a facial oil feels daily.
After reading up on it I found out Tsubaki oil is super popular in Japanese beauty products, it’s full of omega-3 and fatty acids which help keep skin hydrated and is a great anti-aging ingredient.  This product also contains a Japanese sea kelp which supports collagen production, and rice bran oil which helps with brightening.

Overall I can say I loved this beauty oil, it didn’t make me greasy or effect my makeup at all when I used it in the AM.  It was lightweight, absorbed quickly, and left me hydrated and smooth.
I have combination skin so I was a bit nervous as to how I’d react in my oily spots, but honestly, I was completely fine!  I used just about two drops each time, that covered my entire face and left me feeling hydrated but nowhere near oily.

I have read some reviews where people have mentioned breaking out after using this product.  I never broke out once while using it, and I tend to have sensitive skin, so I sometimes do break out with new products.  Everyone’s skin is different, but I think if you’re looking to give a facial oil a try, def try this one.  Boscia is an amazing brand and the ingredients in the Tsubaki Beauty Oil are unique and a great introduction to beauty facial oils overall!

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

I’d been meaning to try the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask for quite some time, so when I got it in a Sephora Beauty Insider promotion, it didn’t take me long to go run to buy a full bottle (that I’m now almost out of!).
First of all let me say, I am a huge face mask junkie, and I will try any and every face mask on this planet.
Next, let me say that this mask is not for the faint of heart.  It’s serious.  Like, super serious.
Why is it so serious?  Well, because it pries every single yuck thing out of your skin…and when I say pries, I mean it.  It’s not the most comfortable experience, but boy does it get the job done
This is a mineral peel-off mask- it applies like liquid and peels off as one whole mask.  The first time I applied it I was a little shocked by how uncomfortable it was to take off.  It was a little painful, but I don’t want me using that word to deter anyone from using it, because it’s also easily the best mask I have ever used.  Any doubts I had were instantly erased when I saw what my complexion looked like immediately after removing it.
{Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, $34}
The black mask is an exfoliator, and it clears the skin of all dirt and other impurities.  When you remove the mask, you can see everything it pulled out of your skin…it’s kinda creepy and downright gross in that regard…but also totally awesome at the same time.  Did that make sense?
The “immediately visible results” claim is no joke.  My complexion was instantly brighter and unbelievably smoother.  I have sensitive skin and while I did experience some redness after using the black mask, it wasn’t enough for me to say AH I’M NEVER USING THIS AGAIN.
If you’ve read any reviews on this product you’ll see a lot of people complaining about the peel-off part.  I promise you, the results far out weigh the annoying-ness of taking off the mask.  I mean, isn’t there a saying beauty is pain?  Right?  Okay then.

Anyway, I’ve given samples to my friends and even they have agreed, it’s just too great of a mask to allow the peel-off process to deter you away from it.

If you’re looking for a new intensive face mask, one that will seriously rid your complexion of all the unwanted dirt and grime, I highly suggest this product, it’s so amazing and will instantly change the look and feel of your skin.

Glamour’s July Birchbox

This month’s Birchbox was curated by one of my favorites, Glamour magazine with the theme “the senses”, as you can see by the box.  Everything in this month’s box definitely covers those categories, I’m loving it all!  All of the products are perfect for the middle of summer, and they can all come with me in my beach bag if need be!
B.B. Cream is the new ‘it’ product of the year.  Every single company is coming out with this serious miracle product.  Boscia is a fabulous brand so I’m very happy I get to try out their version of the perfect B.B. Cream.  In case you’re unfamiliar with the B.B. trend, this product works as a one step primer, SPF, serum, and foundation.  Some B.B. Creams come in different shades to match various skin tones, but Boscia’s claims the product adjusts itself to match many different skin tones.
I’m loving this ‘Blue-Ming‘ polish from Color Club.  Turquoise had been seen in every brand’s lacquer collection this spring/ summer, this is just another shade I’ll have to try!
I recently lost my headphones, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw these in my Birchbox!  I love the unique coloring, and featured as a ‘lifestyle extra’ they’re perfect for summer, and more importantly, perfect for a beach day.
Everybody loves mints, end of story.  Bonus: I also love tea and relaxation, and lemongrass…so I’m thinking I’ll love these.  [Minteas: tea mint for relaxation]
Birchbox is always including some sort of perfume, which is cool because I can just throw it in my purse for whenever I need a quick spritz, and it allows me to sample the TONS of fragrances we have in the beauty world!  This fragrance is by Annick Goutal, and it’s called Annick Goutal Eau d’Hadrien.  The scent is very citrusy, so you don’t need a lot to have a good scent.
This is definitely my favorite product featured in this month’s box.  Stila’s Lip Glaze have always been on my favorites list, and this color is right up my ally.  The name of this Lip Glaze is ‘Action’ and it is from the ‘It’s Go TimeLip Glaze Trio’ limited edition set.  It’s super shimmery and shiny looking, which is the best part, duh.
Glamour did a great job with this month’s Birchbox.  I know for a fact I’ll be using up all these products rather quickly in the remainder of the month! =]
