A couple of weeks ago I posted about the Derma E toner I’ve been using daily, read about it, here. Today, I’m going to be featuring yet another Derma E product! Full disclosure, I’m a part of the Derma E Squad, I have lots of products from them that I’ll be reviewing on here. The good news is, I’m loving all of them & I cannot wait to continue to share the brand with y’all!
The Advanced Peptide & Collagen Moisturizer has been a lifesaver for me during this wacky D.C. weather. One week we’re feeling the polar vortex. The next week it’s 60 degrees. That’s a huge change for our skin, and you need some great products to keep the extremes at bay. This moisturizer is ready for the fight, it’s filled with peptides, which are great at combating wrinkles and boosting collagen production.
If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with a good face mask. Guess what I’m also obsessed with a good lip mask, and this Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask has been a life savior this winter. Keeping on my vitamin C and antioxidant kick, this product is packed with both, which help to keep lips soft and hydrated.
In December I started to use Derma E’s Essentials line daily as my skincare routine. The Derma E team so graciously sent me products from the Essentials line, and I’ve been spending lots of time reading up on the products and really testing them out. I’ll be featuring a new Derma E product every Monday for Budget Beauty for the next several weeks. I’m excited to share this brand with you, I love their products!
Wow, it’s been one long minute since I’ve done a D.C. Happenings post. Good thing it’s one of my blog resolutions for 2019! The D.C. area has so much to share, and I really want to highlight some of my favorite places and activities for my local readers and readers who may be traveling to D.C. sometime soon!
I recently reached out to natural skincare brand Mad Hippie, my bestie told me great things about their signature Vitamin C Serum, and was thrilled when they sent me over a bottle to try out. I feel like I’ve seen Mad Hippie everywhere lately, the brand has a super fun feel, and pride themselves on their ingredients and conservation efforts.
The first Face Mask Monday of 2019 is going to Glam Glow’s trademarked BubbleSheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask…say that 5 times fast.
This mask is a tad different than your average sheet mask, because it’s a cleanser mask, not a serum, so you do need to wash it off after use. Don’t let the little bit of extra work deter you though- this is a must have if you’re looking to clear up a break out, or if you’ve hd a rough couple of days and need a total skin reset.
If you are unfamiliar with the Glam Glow brand, take a minute to read through their About Us page. I’ve listened to a few podcasts with the founder, Shannon, and I love how this brand has come to be a staple, and a huge lifesaver, for so many people. I’ve used a few of their masks, mostly large samples, and I’ve loved everything I’ve tried. It was my first time using one of their sheet masks though, and just as I figured, I thought it was great!
Happy 2019 everyone! I’m so happy to be starting a new year and can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store. I’m here today to share my current Fab Five, featuring some gifts from the holidays! I would love to know what has been on your favorites list recently, so feel free to share below, or Tweet me @elizabethmayce.
It’s really important to me to remember friend birthdays, and other special dates- but, sometimes I slack. I love this celebration calendar because I can reuse it every year, all you do is write down the birthdays / special events for each month next to the date. I try to put special dates in my iCal, but I always like a written reminder as well. & seriously, anything from Rifle Paper & Co. is gorgeous, so it’s a nice addition to my office.
Happy Monday! Can you believe it’s already December?! 2019 is right around the corner, and to be honest, it’s kinda freaking me out. Anyway, I digress. I’m here today to share a great Budget Beauty product, and excellent stocking stuffer, the Simple Hydrating Booster.
Simple is a great skincare brand that stays true to its name. If you have sensitive skin, or strongly dislike any scented skincare products, Simple is def for you. I’m a huge fan of their micellar water, and now I’ve been hooked on this hydrating booster too!
Happy Thursday! I hope you all had a relaxing & enjoyable Thanksgiving. I loved being up in Jersey with my family and friends, Thanksgiving is always a special time. I’m now in the Christmas spirit, ready to take on this holiday season!
With all the business of life, I have a few new products and things in my favorites lineup. Check out what I’ve been loving this month, and leave a comment, or Tweet me, some of your recent favorites. I’m always looking for new and exciting products!
I bought this super cute Pineapple palette when Sephora first released their holiday gifts. I think this is the perfect Christmas gift for the makeup lover in your life. The eye shadows in the palette are amazing, although you want to make sure to use a shadow primer since there is some fallout. I love the mascara and lip tint that comes with it too, it’s totally worth $60, and makes for an awesome holiday gift.
I have barely done any recipe Wednesday’s all year!! I haven’t been very creative in the kitchen recently, just sticking to my tried & true faves. This recipe, however, was def a new one in the kitchen thanks to meal delivery service, Hello Fresh. My bestie’s sister passed along a free box code to me, and I’ve been wanting to try Hello Fresh, it was perfect timing! We opted for three vegetarian meals, so I’ll be sharing the other meals in upcoming weeks. The first recipe I made was the Salsa Verde Enchiladas & breaking news, they were delicious!!
