GIVEAWAY! Virginic Skincare | Activated Charcoal Powder

G I V E A W A Y    B E L O W!!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you know I enjoy featuring small business skincare brands.  I’ve partnered up with many through the years, and I’m excited to add another small skincare business to the Love. Life. Beauty. family!

Virginic Skincare reached out to me, and I was so excited to collab once I saw their products!  They were kind enough to send over two products for me to test out, the Activated Charcoal Powder, which I’m sharing today, and the Sweet Almond Cleanser, which you’ll read about next week.

Milk Makeup’s Matcha Green Tea Toner

Okay Milk…I see you being fancy…

…and I’m loving it!!

During the last Sephora sale I purchased the Milk Matcha Toner, it’s a green stick toner that I was instantly drawn to.  Yes, this is way different than your average toner, but it’s just so cool and works so well!  Here are a few key reasons I’ve recently been reaching for this toner in the AM.

Okay first of all, it’s a solid toner, have you seen such a thing before?  I know I haven’t.  What I do know is that this cuts down on me using a cotton pad every morning to apply my toner, and that’s awesome.  I simply swipe this stick all over my face, paying special attention to my t-zone and chin area.  It feels so cooling and fresh on my skin, which is exactly what I’m looking for at 6:15am.

Budget Beauty: L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Concealer

It’s Monday, and I’m actually not bothered by it!  I had such a relaxing weekend at home with Rob- we visited The Cheesecake Factory and watched both our football teams lose so…super productive.  Okay okay, I also totally cleaned the house too so that was pretty productive.

Anyway, I’m here today to share one of my favorite concealers, the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow.  I switch between this and two not so budget friendly concealers (that I’ll share in the upcoming weeks) for my every day look.  I use a few different concealers because I enjoy trying different brands and different formulas.  I usually tend to spend a bit more $$ on my makeup, but between this concealer and the Infallible Pro Matte Foundation, I’ve really been enjoying L’Oreal makeup.

Thursday’s Fab Five

Happy Thursday!  There’s been so much going on recently, all great things, & I’m so happy to be back today to share five of my recent favorites.

Yes to Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask, $3

I spoke about this mask on my Insta-stories last week because Target was & still is, having a 25% off sale on all Yes To products!  I love a good charcoal mask, but the application & clean up process can sometimes be a bit too much, if ya know what I mean.  Having a charcoal mask in sheet mask form, especially with a ton of product on it, is perfect for a Wednesday night.  The fit could be a tiny bit better but given how budget friendly this mask is, it’s really no big deal.

Face Mask Monday: L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Clear & Comfort

I haven’t done a Face Mask Monday in a while, so I thought today would be the perfect day to share one of my favorite budget beauty face masks with you!  Not only is the L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Clear & Comfort face mask inexpensive, but the texture & application process is great!

L’Oreal has been killin it with their product lineup lately.  From face & hair masks, to new exfoliating scrubs, L’Oreal has been doing an awesome job producing high quality products at a perfect price point.  This fun, blue, mask is seaweed clay based and only needs to sit for 10 minutes before washing off.  I love applying this mask right after a shower, and hangin’ in my robe for 10 minutes before needing to take it off.

Travel Tuesday: 24 Hours in Savannah, GA [Part 2]

If you missed my Travel Tuesday: 24 Hours in Savannah, GA [Part 1], you can check it out, here!

I left off talking about my love for the speakeasy, Alley Cat Lounge.  The drinks were fantastic, craft cocktails at their finest!!  The next morning, I was feelin’ all that vodka, so we went to get some hangover curing Bloody Mary’s at The Collins Quarter.  The Bloody came with bacon, shrimp, & had just the right amount of spice, so it was basically to die for.  For brunch I ordered a Collins Quarter signature dish, the #Tag this Hash.  Of course, it tasted amazing and was just what I needed to kick that hangover to the curb.  The Collins Quarter does brunch every day so it’s the perfect spot to visit when recovering from an Alley Cat Lounge hangover, or if you’re just really hungry on a weekday morning!

D.C. Happenings: Renwick Gallery ‘No Spectators’

The Renwick Gallery is an awesome, *free*, Smithsonian museum right across from the White House.  The Gallery features a variety of artists and installations that are as thought provoking as they are visually appealing.  The current exhibit, No Spectatorsfeatures installations, art work, costumes, and more from the yearly Burning Man festival in Nevada.  & let me tell you, it’s awesome.

Londontown Nail Care + Summer ’18 Polish

If you know me, then you know I’m obsessed with nail polish.  I have a great polish wall filled with all sorts of amazing brands + colors.  One new brand that I’ve added to my collection is Londontown, a great vegan and cruelty free brand featuring botanical and mineral oils as ingredients.  They sent over a great package for me, and I’ve really been able to explore the brand and the awesome products they make!

First, let’s start out with nail care.  The health of your nails will help any mani last just a bit longer.  I have acrylic nails, which I get refilled every two weeks, but when I decided to take a break from them last year, I hunted for a great nail strengthener.  The ingredients in Londontown’s Nail Hardener & Base Coat will help you build a great base for your manicure.  The Kur on top of all their nail care products signifies the brand blend of natural ingredients & botanical blends.  Doesn’t botanical blends just sound amazing?!  Since I haven’t needed to use a nail hardener/ base coat since getting my acrylics back, I’m going to pass it along to a friend that can use it, and I’ll report back on what she thinks!

Travel Tuesday: 24 Hours in Savannah, GA [Part 1]

I just got back from an awesome week long girls trip with my bestie, Heather.  We bounced around in NOLA, Savannah, and ended in Hilton Head, South Carolina.  I’m going to have quick little travel guides for each, but since I wanted to get one posted today, I decided to start with Savannah!

We flew into Savannah from New Orleans, with a quick layover in Atlanta.  On the way back I was able to get a direct flight from the SAV airport into DC, which was so quick and cheap.  I highly suggest my DMV area readers to book a trip down to Savannah for a girls, or a solo, weekend!!  If you have a bride to be in your tribe, Savannah is a great (& super popular) bachelorette weekend destination too.
