I must say, I had a particularly great year with this sale, lots of money was both saved and unfortunately, spent. I know I won’t be shopping for a while, & that’s fine with me. The next school year is right around the corner, I’m making healthier lifestyle choices (i.e. not spending $$), so this was my big shopping splurge until Black Friday (because really, you can’t ignore Black Friday).

My first order was the Kate Spade Dot Thermal Travel Mug in Cream, originally $18, on sale for $12. My travel mugs tend to get messed up quickly, I use them daily and most of the time they aren’t that durable. I love the color, and the gold polka dots are super girlie & right up my alley. Unfortunately the cream travel mug is sold out, they have it in black with white polka dots, but it’s full price at $18. I honestly can’t find the cream version anywhere online, strange.
I also bought the Voluspa ‘Maison Blanc’ Two-Wick Tin Candle Trio, originally $40, on sale for $29.50. I bought a different scented Voluspa trio pack last year during the Anniversary as well, I’m obsessed with Voluspa but because they can be a bit on the pricey side individually I don’t typically purchase this brand. I think these candles are so luxurious I only use them in my bathroom, the tins are gorgeous and the scent just fills my bathroom so beautifully.
For my second order I got a pair of Nike Flyknit 5.0’s in black and white. I love sneakers and I just wanted these so bad, they’ll be full price at $130 after the sale, but I was able to grab them for $97. Most of the black/white sizes are sold out, but they do have some other colors still available.
My last two purchases are pretty expensive, one of them I purchased myself, the other was a birthday gift. During the winter months all I do is wear boots, and I honestly have never invested in pairs of boots that last me more than two seasons. My favorite pair from this past winter are literally falling apart and I would glue them at work…embarrassing- they were also $40, so clearly not too much.
I took the icy plunge and bought a black pair of Frye ‘Melissa Tab’ Knee High Boots and a pair of Tory Burch ‘Joanna’ Riding Boots in coconut leather (aka dark brown). The Frye’s were $280, $418 after the sale, and the Tory’s were $320, $495 after the sale. While the after sale prices are still high, I seriously couldn’t get over the savings of these two brands- Frye & Tory Burch rarelyyyyyyyyy, if ever, go on sale.
I also had $80 in Nordstrom Notes to use up, so I was able to take that off the price of them as well. I know it seems like a lot, and it is, but I know both of these boots will last me forever. I would never buy either of these boots at full price, so I jumped at my chance now, andddddd I guess I’ll just not go to brunch for two months. Oh well, I’ll take boots over brunch any day…especially these two pairs!!
I haven’t received the Tory’s yet, if I’m not crazy in love the second I put them on, I’ll be returning them. The Frye’s on the other hand are so incredibly comfortable and they look amazing. I was wearing them around my apartment and even though it’s like 95 degrees outside I seriously didn’t want to ever take them off, they are so gorgeous, and structured, and just PERFECT. I cannot wait to wear these this fall/ winter!!
