Did you know, Peruvian Independence Day is July 28, and National Pisco Day is July 22?! No, you didn’t?! Well, now you know!
I had the opportunity to attend the press party for Service Bar D.C.’s Pisco Month kickoff the other week, and let me tell you, Pisco drinks are the best. Every Monday during the month of July, Service Bar will be serving up Peruvian cocktail realness starting at 5pm. Service Bar really prides itself, as it should, on the craft cocktail experience in a relaxed and chill as F setting. The Peruvian cocktails below were made especially for this Monday month long celebration, and the mix of flavors is on point…it really is an experience versus just your typical drink.
The amazing Peruvian Brothers food truck will also be on hand on Monday’s so you can pair all of the amazing Pisco cocktails with a yummy snack. I love, love, love, their empanadas (chicken, beef, or spinach & cheese)…& their sandwiches are delish too.
Now to the dranksssss…
Above we have the fabulous Frambuesa, a mix of lemon, raspberry, Piscologica, and sparkling. So danity looking right?!
My favorite drink, that I easily could’ve had like, five, more of, is the Sparkly Palm as seen above. This cocktail is a mix of La Diablada Pisco, pomegranate, pink lemon, Maurin Quina, and tonic.
These last two beauties are the Selena Meyers Lemon Cobbler and the Ocopa. The Lemon Cobbler has La Diablada Pisco, vodka, Habanero, Meyer lemon, lemongrass, and cucumber. The Ocopa, was a great mix of La Diablada Pisco, Hierba Luisa, St. Germain, & lime.
Make it a point to stop into Service Bar on July 16, 23, or 30…celebrate Peruvian culture and enjoy a well made Pisco cocktail!
