Budget Beauty: Neutrogena Face Mask Review

I love Neutrogena products- the quality is great, I see results when I use them, and most importantly they’re affordable!  I jumped at the chance to work with Neutrogena on their latest It’s in the Gel campaign, focusing on their new 100% HydroGel sheet mask line.

Sheet masks are all the rage lately, and it’s easy to see why.  Applying a sheet mask is nice and easy and you don’t need to worry about washing it off.  When you apply a sheet mask you’re getting an incredible amount of serum applied to your face, and almost always a little extra for your neck and décolletage area, which we usually skip over in our typical skincare routine.

Neutrogena sent over two of their new sheet masks, the Hydro Boost and the Radiance Boost for me to try out.  Lately my skin has been dry, which is the complete opposite of the norm, so I was super excited when I saw the Hydro Boost mask.  I also always worry about radiance, sometimes I feel as though my skin looks dull, so the Radiance Boost mask was also a pleasant surprise!  Both fit my skincare needs perfectly.

I tried the Hydro Boost mask first, I love that it comes in two pieces, most sheet masks only come in one piece.  The two pieces allow for a better fit to the face, which is of course better for the skin absorbing all that great serum.

I was immediately drawn to the main ingredient of this mask, hyaluronic acid.  Hyaluronic acid is an amazing hydrator and anti-aging ingredient, it’s usually found in serums, so to see that it was in this sheet mask was an awesome surprise!  The sheet mask is nice and cooling, it felt great on my face while lying in bed on a weeknight.  I left it on for about 15-20m, and the mask stayed cool the entire time, and most importantly, didn’t dry out.  The coolness and hydrating elements def helped with my redness situation, and when I removed the mask my skin felt much more soft and, in a way, healed.

The next mask Neutrogena sent over was the Radiance Boost mask, which I made sure to use after a long night out!  The gel consistency was nice and cool, just like the hydro boost mask.  I left this one on for quite a while, it was just so relaxing!  I’m telling you, the texture of this mask, mixed with the serum, is feels great- you’ll want to leave it on for forever.  When I took the mask off my skin looked much brighter, I feel like with consistent use this mask could really help with hyper-pigmentation and dullness.

A huge plus about these masks…they’re only $2.99 each!! Can you believe that?!  The quality of the mask, for this price, is incredible.  It feels way more expensive than it is!  Also, sometimes with less expensive masks the fit of the sheet can be totally off- not with these, it fit my face perfectly.  Next time you’re in Ulta, Target, or your favorite drugstore, try one of these out!
