Thursday’s Fab Five

Is it finally spring…?  Some days I can tell, other days I can’t…it’s so confusing here in D.C.  One thing I know for sure, I’m spring nail ready, and have been doing some major spring cleaning to try to get the season here faster.  Check out the five things I’ve been loving this week, and share what you’ve been loving in the comments!

Essie Spring 2017 ‘Excuse Me Sur’, $9

I’m pretty sure I’ve featured this color before, but it’s one of my favorites, so whatever.  I went to Florida this week with some work friends, and I needed this color on my nails before leaving.  It screams summer to me, I always get compliments, and when I look down and see my nails, I’m so happy.  I think it’s a step above your average coral, super bold & bright- a perfect cry out for warmer weather.

Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLite EyeCare Pro LED Device, $159

Disclaimer: I don’t own this product…yet.  I attended Nordstrom’s Spring Trend Show last weekend, and the Dr. Dennis Gross team featured these super cool glasses.  The 20s age range is when you really need to start working on preventative skincare, and battling fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes is something I don’t want to have to do when I’m older.  This product uses light therapy to reduce those very things, and is a great way to help prevent them in the future…for only 3 minutes a day.  The price tag may seem a bit high, but honestly, if you use it daily for 10 weeks (the recommended way to jump start the process), it’s just $2.20 per use.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy ‘Happiness’ Candle, $24.50

Usually I’d use this as a bathroom candle, but I’ve been using this in our living room lately, and I love how calming it makes the house feel.  Happiness has scents of mandarin bergamot, which are perfect scents to take in after a long day of teaching.  I think I’m going to start burning more aromatherapy candles downstairs, it really does help make the environment more peaceful and obviously, it smells great.

Cuisinart Color Cutlery Set, $17

A gift from the fabulous Ms. Claus this past Christmas, I find myself reaching for these knives all of the time!  They have a nonstick coat, which helps when slicing things up quickly, and are very easy to clean.  I also love how they have the blade guards for some extra protection while kept in the drawer.  If you’re looking to add a spot of color to your kitchen, def add these knives!

Seven Seconds on Netflix

I’m four episodes in and I’m loving this new crime drama on Netflix.  It’s 10 episodes, so it’s doable in one binge weekend if you’re up for it!
