Thursday’s Fab Five

It’s been such a busy past few weeks!!  Rob & I moved into a townhouse, I went to Disney to celebrate a friend’s 30th birthday, and I’ve been busy organizing and setting up our new place, all while lesson planning and tutoring.  Humph.  Anyway, I’m back today to share a new edition of Thursday’s Fab Five, with some favorite things I’ve been loving a lot lately.

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue, $30

I recently rediscovered this product after moving, & I totally forgot how much I loved it!!  This is a tinted hydrating gel cream that gives me a great base look for a light makeup day.  It has SPF protection, and is super lightweight & smooth.  The Complexion Rescue is for all skin types, but if you’re experiencing dry skin during the winter, I especially advise it since it has hydrating botanical ingredients to keep skin soft and quenched.

Voluspa Candle in Saijo Persimmon, $8

This is my current bathroom candle, it reminds me of spring, and is the perfect scent while taking a bath.  Along with the persimmon, it has notes of red currant and peach as well.  I love Voluspa, and I’ve shared in the past, I always stock up on these during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale because they are a little bit pricier than your average candle.  You can buy the small ones for $8, which really isn’t too bad since it has a 25 hour burn time!

 MoroccanOil Body Butter, $56

While organizing all of my products this week I also came across a deluxe sample of this rather expensive product.  I’ve been using it daily after doing my makeup before work, and let me tell you, my hands feel incredible through the day.  As I said, it’s a deluxe sample, so I’m just using it as a hand butter, but it is so hydrating with that argan oil, & adds the perfect touch of luxury to my weekday mornings.

The PrettyDish Cookbook by HowSweetEats, $20

I’ve been following Jessica Merchant’s HowSweetEats blog for years, like seriously, years.  I have her first cookbook, and have cooked several dishes from it, and I am so excited to have preordered her second cookbook, The PrettyDish.  She’s so relatable, funny, and makes dishes that are unique and creative without being fussy & too hard.  Def check out her website, and follow all her social media, she’s one of my favorites by far!

C.O. Bigelow Lavender Salve, $7.50

I picked this up at Nordstrom Rack a couple of weeks ago, and I’m so addicted.  I’ve been reaching for this over my beloved Burt’s Bees lip balm, which is unheard of if you know me.  I’ve always been a fan of the Smith’s Rosebud Salve, and this product from C.O. Bigelow is very similar.  I use it on my lips, but I’ve also been using it on my rosacea since the lavender is so calming.

I hope you all coast into Friday + the weekend sooner than you expected!  I’ll be at a friend’s house celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with some Irish food, and drinks of course, & I hope everyone else has plans to celebrate too!!  Leave me any of your current favorites in the comments, I’m always looking for fun new things.

XO.
