Thursday’s Fab Five

Happy Thursday!  I’m so happy the winter break is almost here, teaching has been exhausting this year.  I’m also super excited for this upcoming Saturday, Rob & I are hosting a holiday party, Cookies & Wine at 4089 which of course will feature tons of homemade cookies, even tons more wine, and I’m adding in a taco bar for sustenance.

Here are five things I’ve been loving the past few weeks, and all would make great presents too!

Thursday's Fab Five

I have a Nespresso that I got for Christmas last year, & I featured one in my Recipe Wednesday: Gifts for the Chef in Your Life because I truly feel as though everyone in life needs one of these!  The Peppermint Cane is a limited edition for the holidays, and it’s so yummy!  If you have a Nespresso, or are buying one for someone as a holiday present, you need to add this flavor to your lineup!

My Dad got me this mug as a Christmas gift this year, and I was so happy when I opened it up!  I have a traditional set of Moscow Mule mugs, this new addition plays up the set a bit. I love Moscow Mules, and I know all my MM mugs will be put to good use at the holiday party on Saturday!

An OPI, and nail polish in general, classic.  I love wearing Lincoln Park After Dark in the winter, it’s such a great color that goes with anything and everything you wear.  I think it just matches the weather perfectly too, I know I’m weird, but when it’s dark and/or blustery out, I love looking down at my Lincoln Park After Dark mani.

Okay I realize this is super pricey but…it’s a great clay mask!!  I had a deluxe sample of this, and I just used it up this week.  The smoothness of this mask is what sets it apart from other clay masks, which is probably part of the reason it is so expensive.  Also, when you have organic ingredients (it’s not 100% organic) that automatically bumps up the price.  As this mask dried it didn’t over dry my skin and I felt great after washing it off.  Who knows, maybe with a gift card this could be on your lust list!

This is my current bedroom candle for December, and ah, it is so lovely!! I chose it for the bedroom because I always light the candle when I get home from work, so that by the time we get into bed the room is just filled with a great scent.  The naturalness of the forest scent smells like an amazing Christmas tree, and I’m obsessed.  Best part is, while this candle does smell like Christmas, it also works perfect for after the holidays too.

I hope you enjoyed my Fab Five for this week!  I’M SO HAPPY TOMORROW IS FRIYAY!
