Sweet Caroline

Losing a friend is never easy.  Losing a friend you’ve had since 5yrs old, that you went to elementary school, high school, college, pledged Chi Omega, and traveled the world with, sucks.
Here are the words I wrote for Caroline’s tribute video, along with some of my favorite pictures of us.
Words cannot describe how difficult it is to write this.  The flood of our memories and laughs is overwhelming, but beautiful.  I wish I could list our thousands of jokes, but I’ll just leave it at “wall sisters” and the politically incorrect goose language.  It’s still hard to believe that you’re gone from this Earth, but I know you’ll still be by my side, making hilarious comments and facial expressions.  I’m so lucky to have gone to school with you since age 5.  I’m so lucky to have shared a sisterhood with you, although, I mean, we pretty much already had that established.  I will think about you each and every day, I love you angel.

“You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”
