Remembering L’Wren Scott

If you love your fashion designers, or even if you don’t, I’m sure you’ve heard about the passing of the amazing designer L’Wren Scott.  I’ve loved L’Wren Scott’s work for quite some time now, and although she was the girlfriend of Rolling Stone’s Mick Jagger, it is so incredibly important to remember she was much much more than that.  The Cut did an excellent piece {here} highlighting the demeaning way in which the media announced her passing.

If you enjoy reading about the fashion industry you’d know she was a highly respected model {hello, Chanel}, designed for the movies Ocean’s Thirteen and Eyes Wide Shut {and more}, had an excellent clientele list including Nicole Kidman, Ellen Barkin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna, and just recently debuted two fabulous collaboration lines, one with Banana Republic and the other with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.  Even if you don’t enjoy reading about fashion, her dresses have probably been featured on a celebrity best dressed list in your weekly trash mag.

Basically, most people {in particular young professional women} have in some form heard the name L’Wren Scott, and it probably was not in reference to who she was dating.
Now we’re reading about how her label was in debt.  Mick Jagger broke up with her. Blah. Blah. Blah.
Is this what the media is seriously focusing on?  How about we focus on this….all of the awesome designs she made?  Does this work too?
