Recipe Wednesday: Smoothie Lovin’

Now that everyone has [maybe? hopefully?] written down their resolutions for 2014 I’m assuming one or two of those resolutions may have to deal with healthy eating perhaps?  Well, I know mine do.  
I want to flood myself with fruits and veggies, and I want to be happy & have fun when doing it.  I also want to allow myself to indulge every once in a while because I know I’ll make it up by making the next meal a healthy detoxing choice.  
So, now I present to you some great smoothie/ juice options to set your body in balance and help you detox a bit when you have one of those indulgent days! 
These 3 recipes are super easy if you have a blender, just add the ingredients in slowly.  & I promise they all taste good too, I’ve been experimenting the past few days! 
Spinach, Avocado, & Apple
 1.5 cups of apple juice (I recommend Trader Joe’s!) 
2 cups chopped spinach 
1/2 avocado 
1 unpeeled apple (cored, chopped)
Green Juice
1.5 cups of water
2 cups kale
2 cups cored green apple
1/2 cup parsley leaves
1 medium cucumber, quartered
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 piece of peeled ginger
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Kale Lemon 
1/2 lemon, peeled
1/2 bunch kale
1 banana
1/2 cup pineapple (Lemon Stripes used a handful of frozen, but I just chopped up pineapple & it worked just fine)
1/2 cup coconut water
