I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Millennial Central for Budweiser. I received a product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
I’m going to start this post being as honest as I can be, I don’t drink beer. However, I have a ton of friends who do, so when the opportunity came across to host a Project 12 party, I thought it would be a fabulous addition to Friendsgiving!
Budweiser Project 12 began as a challenge for the brew masters of the 12 U.S. breweries to create a new unique beer. Those 12 were eventually narrowed down to Beechwood Bock, North Pacific Style Lager, and Vanilla Bourbon Cask.
I was headed to a Friendsgiving and knew that would be the perfect opportunity to showcase the Project 12 limited edition beers.
As I said, I’m not a beer drinker, but of course I wanted to try these out the ingredients seemed so fun & interesting!
“Brewed with chocolate & caramel malts and finished on beechwood chips”
I definitely thought this was an interesting beer. I liked the sweet taste, I found I tasted more caramel than chocolate- which I prefer. I didn’t love the woody aftertaste though, but I had figured this would be the element I liked least.
North Pacific Style Lager
A blend of “palisade and cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest”
I didn’t love this, but I’m attributing that to the fact that I don’t regularly drink beer. My friends all seemed to like it and said it was very hoppy. It was perfect for those who don’t love the super sweet beers, and it paired best with the savory part of dinner!
Vanilla Bourbon Cask
“The taste of aged bourbon and a hint of vanilla and oak”
I thought this one would be my favorite, and it was! It’s very sweet and I loved the vanilla taste. It’s very light, which was perfect for me, and also perfect after having a big meal.
These limited edition beers make a perfect addition to a holiday party. Everyone is bound to find their match in these three options, and seeing that they are special edition, pick ’em up now before it’s too late!! Find where to purchase Project 12 near you, here!
