I love Tina Fey & Amy Poehler. I think they did a fabulous job of hosting last night’s Golden Globes- they were funny [but never crossed lines], dressed fabulously, and overall just worked so well together. I think it’s safe to say this year def gave us a better Globes than years previous. What do you think?!
Of course I was watching E!’s coverage of the Red Carpet, which began at 6pm, & I basically live tweeted [or more like retweeted] during the whole carpet. Big colors of the night: RED or SPARKLY. Big trend of the night: No back and or plunging neckline.
Here are my personal choices for BEST dressed of the evening.
|Anne Hathaway in Chanel
So, I think this dress pretty much confirms she’s pregnant. It’s very Chanel, and it’s very classic looking.
|Katharine McPhee in Theskens’ Theory
Def a bold choice, but I’m loving it. And, I love her top-knot.
|Julia Louise-Dreyfus in Vera Wang
She looks fabulous, great choice.
|Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta
Always a princess, Zooey def didn’t disappoint. AND, check out her manicure, she Instagrammed a picture of it.
|Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta
She was awkward and boring while presenting, but I mean, she looks so hot. The color of this dress is everything, and her lipstick was amazing.
|Amy Poehler in Stella McCartney
Sexy menswear, job well done. I hope Will Arnett is somewhere crying.
|Glenn Close in Zac Posen
She’s on my best dressed list because I want to look like her when I’m her age. The color of the dress is perfect, and I love that she’s not showing too much skin. Also, love the earrings.
|Halle Berry in Atelier Versace
I know some may say the slit and/or pattern is too much, but I mean, let’s get real…she’s bangin, so whatever.
|Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture
This is another dress that got a bit of criticism when she first stepped out, & I kinda felt the same way, but by the end of the evening it grew on me.
|Salma Hayek in Gucci
Love the dress, not so much loving the hair.
|Adele in Burberry
Being a new mom I think Adele is looking fabulous, and this dress is perfectly figure flattering.
|Marion Cotillard in Dior
|Nicole Richie in Naeem Khan
This dress…is so…glam and I want it right now.
|Kerry Washington in Miu Miu
Well, I love anything Kerry Washington because she’s a GWU alum, so the chances I’ll ever say she isn’t dressed well is slim to none. Per usual she looks super beautiful and glamorous.
|Jodie Foster in Armani
Just like Julianne Moore, it’s appropriate looking for her age, which is why I liked her in it so much.
|Michelle Dockery in Alexandre Vaultheir
Amazeballs. I haven’t heard of this designer, but Michelle def put his name on the map after wearing this last night.
|Kate Hudson in McQueen
It’s McQueen, enough said.
Here are my personal choices for the WORST dressed of the evening.
[There are probs way more people I should’ve put in this category, but I’m trying to be nice for 2013]
|Eva Longoria in Emilio Pucci
Well, I’m sure all the guys in America were loving it, I know the one I was sitting next to last night was. However, no, it just wasn’t good.
|Sienna Miller in Erdem
Um, I’m not commenting on this. I just didn’t like it, at all.
Here are my personal choice for the I DON’T KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS dressed of the evening.
|Lena Dunham in Zac Posen
I know I know, she should be on the worst dressed list, but I just love Girls so much I couldn’t do it. The dress is way too matronly, but she tried, and looks way better than she has on previous red carpets.
|Morena Baccarin in Valentino Couture
Not loving it, not hating it.
|Claire Danes in Versace
Props to Danes because she looks amazing after having a baby just last month. The dress looks great and all but I thought her makeup looked a little messy and overall it just wasn’t as put together as it should’ve been.
|Debra Messing in Donna Karan
A little boring, especially for being the first person interviewed on E!, but overall not bad.
|Nicole Kidman in McQueen
Once again, it’s McQueen so enough said…but, for some reason I just wasn’t sold on it.
|Olivia Munn in Armani
I love the top of the dress, but again, I can’t put my finger on it, but I’m not in love.
|Lucy Liu in Caroline Herrera
So, I can’t say anything bad because she’s a fellow Chi Omega. Honestly, I can’t decide whether or not I like this!
|Tina Fey in L’Wren Scott
This looks is very classic, but I wanted to see something a little more sexy on Tina.
|Allison Williams in J. Mendel
I like the dress, but I was just a little bored by the look overall. I think she could’ve done a bit better.
PLEASE share your favorite looks from last night, I’d love to know what you’re all thinking!
PS: I can’t wait for E! Fashion Police tonight…of course I’m obsessed with Joan Rivers and her outlandish/ completely inappropriate/ hilarious [but sometimes I feel like an awful person for laughing] jokes.
